The official Twitter account of Japanese boy band group THE BOYZ has revealed that the FLAGLIA original musical anime project will premiere on January 16, 2022. The short television anime series will air on back-to-back 30-minute time slots each day, beginning with the first two episodes on January 16.
THE BOYZ will be singing the anime’s main theme song “Here is” and performing the insert songs “Take Me Back” and “Talk About Us.” Members of the boy band will also be voice acting in the FLAGLIA anime series for the first time.

Itsurou Kawasaki (The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting, Magical Girl Ore) is directing the anime series. Other staff working on the anime series includes ziwataneho (Senpai to Boku: Soumubu Shanai Kouanka illustrator) as original character designer, novelist Madoka Takadono (Gun Princess) as original creator and scriptwriter, and Eriko Itou (Farewell, My Dear Cramer) as character designer. Studio Gaina is handling the animation production for the series.
An accompanying musical of FLAGLIA directed by Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi is also scheduled to take place at the Nippon Seinenkan Hall from February 3 to February 9, 2023. Titled FLAGLIA the Musical ~Yukitekaerishi Monogatari~, the musical will take place in the Middle Ages, whereas the anime will take place in the present time. Takadono is writing the screenplay for the musical as well.
Singer/actor Yoshikuni Dohchin and South Korean boy band SUPERNOVA’s Yoon Hak have also been announced as performers for both the musical and anime.

The musical is set to star Toshiki Seto, the nine members of the Japanese-Korean boy band NIK, Waku Sakaguchi, Shoutarou Ookubou, Tatsuya Tomoishi, and Kenji Sakamoto.
