The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garden game is set to begin service on November 29 in Japan. A trailer previewing the characters and combat was released.
The game is currently accepting pre-registrations on Google Play and App Store, with in-game rewards to be given out for each milestone (100,000 registrations being the highest). Its website lists Windows as one of the platforms.
The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garde is a “3D Animation RPG” inspired by The Eminence in Shadow isekai anime adaptation that began airing in October. It will allow players to experience the anime’s story and an original story supervised by the light novels’ Daisuke Aizawa. The Google Play description adds that the anime plot will be “updated every week after the broadcast” and includes the “psychological depiction” from the novels that were not able to be translated to the anime.
HiDive describes the anime as:
Some people just aren’t suited to playing the part of the flashy, in-your-face hero or the dastardly, mustache-twirling villain with larger-than-life panache. Instead, they operate in the shadows and pull the strings of society through wit and cleverness. That’s the role Cid wants to play when he’s transported to another world. Cid spins a yarn or three and becomes the unlikely leader of the underground Shadow Garden organization that fights against a menacing cult (which he totally made up). However, there’s a catch even his wild imagination didn’t see coming: the cult he concocted actually exists, and they’re beyond displeased that his power fantasy just got in the way of their evil plans!
Like the anime, the game’s cast includes Seiichirou Yamashita as Cid Kagenou, Asami Seto as Alpha, Inori Minase as Beta, Suzuko Mimori as Gamma, Fairouz Ai as Delta, Hisako Kanemoto as Episolon, Reina Kondo as Eta, Ayaka Asai as Zeta, Kana Hanazawa as Alexia Midgar, Rina Hidaka as Claire Kagenou, Youko Hikasa as Iris Midgar, Haruka Shiraishi as Rose Oriana, and Saya Aizawa as Sherry Barnett.
