Kaguya-sama: Love Is War — The First Kiss That Never Ends To Have Preview Screening at Anime NYC 2022


The first part of the upcoming Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -The First Kiss That Never Ends- will have its world premiere screening at Anime NYC 2022 on November 19, Aniplex of America has revealed. This first part is noted to be about as long as an episode.

Meanwhile, the anime will begin its special theatrical screening in Japan on December 17. A promotional video was released on the Aniplex YouTube channel.

A visual for The First Kiss That Never Ends was also unveiled, featuring the members of the Shuchiin Academy student council as well as Ai Hayasaka and Tsubame Koyasu. 

Before the Anime NYC preview screening, there will be a special panel featuring Kaguya Shinomiya voice actor Aoi Koga and producers Yuichiro Kikuchi (A-1 Pictures) and Tatsuya Ishikawa (Aniplex). The panel will be livestreamed on the Aniplex of America YouTube channel at 4:15 PM EST.


The First Kiss That Never Ends was announced after the end of the series’s third season earlier this June. It is set to have a TV broadcast in Japan after its theatrical screening. The first two seasons of Kaguya-sama: Love is War aired in 2019 and 2021 respectively, while the third season premiered in April this year. 

Kaguya-sama: Love is War is based on the Shueisha-published manga series by Aka Akasaka, which began in 2015 and has 27 tankoubon volumes as of October 2022. The manga is currently serialized in Weekly Young Jump and is published under the Young Jump Comics label.

As leaders of their prestigious academy’s student council, Kaguya and Miyuki are the elite of the elite! But it’s lonely at the top… Luckily for them, they’ve fallen in love! There’s just one problem—they both have too much pride to admit it. And so begins the daily scheming to get the object of their affection to confess their romantic feelings first…

Love is a war you win by losing.

The staff of the three seasons of Kaguya-sama: Love is War includes Mamoru Hatakeyama as director, Yasuhiro Nakanishi as series composer, Yuuko Yahiro as character designer, Risa Wakabayashi as art director, Kanako Hokari as color designer, Masaharu Okazaki as photography director, and Kei Haneoka as music compose. A-1 Pictures is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Makoto Furukawa as Miyuki Shirogane, Konomi Kohara as Chika Fujiwara, Ryouta Suzuki as Yuu Ishigami, Yumiri Hanamori as Ai Hayasaka, and Miyu Tomita as Miko Iino.
