A new teaser visual and main cast have been revealed for the upcoming Ten Count BL anime adaptation. The anime film is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters sometime in 2023.

The production staff for Ten Count so far consists of Sou Toyama (Usaru-san) as director and screenwriter and Tomomi Shimazaki (A Couple of Cuckoos sub-character designer) as character designer. Manga creator Rihito Takarai is credited with the original work. East Fish Studio and SynergySP are handling the animation production together.

Takarai’s original BL romance manga was first serialized in Shinshokan’s Dear+ monthly magazine under the Dear+ Comics imprint. It ran in the magazine from July 13, 2013 to November 14, 2017. Six tankoubon volumes have been released in total as of March 2018.

Ten Count has also inspired two separate mobile games. They include a social network game launched on the Amega Japanese blogging and social media service in 2017, before shutting down in 2019. Another puzzle game was launched for iOS and android devices in 2019 before shutting down a year later.

Viz Media’s SuBLime manga imprint releases the series in English. It describes the story as:

Corporate secretary Shirotani suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder. One day he meets Kurose, a therapist who offers to take him through a ten-step program to cure him of his compulsion. As the two go through each of the ten steps, Shirotani’s attraction to his counselor grows.
