During TIFFCOM 2022, Crunchyroll has announced that voice actress and idol personality Sally Amaki and entertainer Jon Kabira will be hosting the 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The awards ceremony and live show will take place for the first time in Japan on March 4, 2023 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo.

The 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards is the leading annual awards program honoring the best creators, musicians, and performances across streaming and theatrical anime. Sony Music Solutions, part of Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc., will support Crunchyroll in hosting the event, which will be streamed live for global audiences.

Judges for the Anime Awards will be announced before the end of the year, with international fan vote on the final nominees beginning in early 2023. Last year, a record 16.9 million votes were cast by global fans for nominees representing nearly 40 anime studios across eight streaming platforms.

More information about the 2023 Anime Awards will be shared on the Anime Awards website and across Crunchyroll’s social media channels.
