UNIQLO Releases One Piece Film Red UT Collection on October 27

Japanese retailer UNIQLO has announced that it will launch the One Piece Film Red UT collaboration collection in the United States on October 27, 2022. It will coincide with the North American release of One Piece Film Red on November 4, 2022. 

The newest UT collection launch will be done in collaboration with Toei Animation and Crunchyroll. It will be made available globally, but launch dates will vary by region.

The collection includes four distinct colors for each T-shirt, featuring action scenes with various characters from the anime film. One design depicts a black T-shirt Monkey D. Luffy doing his signature attack, Gum Gum Red Hawk, wearing a brand-new outfit that he wears in the upcoming film. The second design shows Shanks’ Red Hair Pirates Jolly Roger flag alongside the names of the Red Hair Pirates printed on a red-colored T-shirt. 

Another design includes a special illustration of Shanks, the notorious chief of the Red Hair Pirates, giving Luffy his signature straw hat. The fourth T-shirt design features a lineup of the Straw Hats members with the iconic words “I’m gonna be…king of the pirates!!.” 

UNIQLO will also be offering an exclusive sticker sheet gift with the purchase of these shirts at stores in the United States and its online store. The sticker will feature the film’s characters wearing the UT collection T-shirts paired with UNIQLO bottoms. The sticker set will only be available for a limited time while supplies last.

Each adult T-shirt in any of the four designs will cost US$19.90 before tax. 

One Piece Film Red commemorates the 25th anniversary of Eiichirou Oda’s long running anime and manga series. The film is directed by Goro Taniguchi, who has participated in various large scale marketing promotions for the franchise at New York Comic Con 2022 and Times Square. 

Crunchyroll describes the film’s synopsis as: 

Uta —the most beloved singer in the world. Renowned for concealing her own identity when performing, her voice has come to be described as “otherworldly.” Now, for the first time ever, Uta will reveal herself to the world at a live concert. As the venue fills with all kinds of Uta fans—excited pirates, the Navy watching closely, and the Straw Hats led by Luffy who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance—the voice that the whole world has been waiting for is about to resound. The story begins with the shocking fact that she is Shanks’ daughter.
