An original anime film titled Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King will premiere on Netflix on March 31, 2023. Based on the long-running Black Clover series, the film will feature an original story about the Wizard King, supervised by original creator Yuuki Tabata.
The production team also revealed a new teaser visual and 45-second PV trailer of the anime film.
Additionally, voice actor Toshihiko Seki will voice a new character named Konrad, who served as a previous Wizard King.

The production staff includes Ayataka Tanemura (Fuuto PI assistant director) as director, Itsuko Takeda (Twin Star Exorcists) as character designer, and Minako Seki (The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?) as music composer. Studio Pierrot is handling the animation production.
The Black Clover anime series ran for 170 episodes from October 3, 2017 to March 30, 2021. It is based on the manga series by Tabata, which currently runs in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since February 16, 2015. It is published under the Jump Comics label, with Viz Media releasing the series in English. 32 volumes have been released as of April 4, 2022, with a 33rd volume due on November 4, 2022. The series has also inspired various spin-off manga, a light novel, and video games.
