Two more cast members have been announced for the upcoming The Reincarnation Of The Strongest Exorcist In Another World (Saikyou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki) anime adaptation.
Akari Kitou is voicing Mabel Klein, a junior at the academy that protagonist Seika attends who has a dark and cold atmosphere about her. Meanwhile, Yui Ogura is voicing Yuki, a kuda-gitsune ayakashi who has been employed by Seika since his pre-reincarnation days.
The Reincarnation Of The Strongest Exorcist In Another World is set to premiere in Japan in january 2023. It is based on the light novel series by Kiichi Kozusu and illustrated by Kihiro Yuzuki (originally Shin for Volume 1), began in 2019 and has five volumes as of October 2021. It is published under Futabasha’s M Novels label. A manga adaptation by Toshinori Okazaki began in 2020.
The story follows Haruyoshi, a powerful onmyouji who is left on the verge of death after a betrayal by his allies. After attempting a secret reincarnation technique, Haruyoshi reincarnates into another world as part of a family of magic-users. While he is judged to have no magical ability, Haruyoshi perceives the magic in this world as being inferior to the onmyouji powers he still possesses, and thus believes that he can get by without it.
The anime is directed by Ryousuke Shibuya (Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan chief director) with Yoshinobu Nagayama (Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan director) as chief director, Touko Machida (PuraOre! Pride of Orange) as series composer and scriptwriter, Masayoshi Kikuchi (Tsukiuta. The Animation 2 animation director) and Sayaka Ueno (Don’t Hurt Me, My Healer! animation director) as character designers, and Alisa Okehazama (Jujutsu Kaisen 0 co-composer) as music composer. Studio Blanc. is the animation production company.
The Reincarnation Of The Strongest Exorcist In Another World originated as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2018, which won the seventh Net Shousetsu Taishou award. A new publication of the light novels under the Monster Bunko label with illustrations from Yuunagi began in July 2022.
