Giant Beasts of Ars Original Anime Coming in January 2023

Giant Beasts of Ars, a new original fantasy action anime from Asahi Production and DMM Pictures, will debut sometime in January 2023. A teaser trailer and visual have been released.

Giant Beasts of Ars takes place in a world where destructive, gargantuan creatures are rampant, and humans hunt these beasts in order to make use of their remains. Jiro is one such hunter, although a past incident has caused him to turn to alcohol and adopt an apathetic attitude. However, Jiro has to put his sorrows aside to save Kumi, a girl who escaped from a research facility and is being pursued.

Akira Oguro (Namuamida Butsu! Rendai Utena, Final Fantasy Legends: Hikari to Yami no Senshi and Yuusha Shirei Dagwon character designer) is directing with Norimitsu Kaihou (Akudama Drive co-series composer) as series composer and scriptwriter. Giant Beasts of Ars also features Illustrator Ashito Ooyari as the original character designer with Hiroshi Shimizu (Megalo Box) and Masato Katou (Peach Boy Riverside co-character designer) as character designers. Shuji Katayama and Akinari Suzuki are composing the music.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Hina Youmiya as Kumi, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Jiro, Yuu Serizawa as Mia, Hiromu Mineta as Meran, and Youko Hikasa as Romana.
