Netflix has announced that they are producing an original animated series titled My Daemon from Exception creator and writer Otsuichi (who also goes by Hirotaka Adachi).
A teaser visual of the series has also been released, highlighting protagonist Kento and his daemon creature Anna.
Otsuichi, who has also written Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror and Summer Ghost, is writing the screenplay for My Deamon. Nat Yoswatananont is directing the series and IGLOO STUDIO is in charge of the animation production for the series.
My Daemon takes place in the near future, where a nuclear explosion has caused the Earth to briefly connect with Hell, causing massive pollution from dust particles. Young student Kento encounters a daemon named Anna in the forest and decides to raise her. The two embark on an exciting adventure to save Kento’s mother.
