During Aniplex Online Fest 2022, it was revealed that The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 will air this January 2023. A new teaser trailer and key visual was released during the event.
Key staff members were revealed featuring, Shin Onuma as chief director, Masafumi Tamura as director, Kazuyuki Yamayoshi as character designer, Hitoshi Tanaka as series composer, and Keiji Iuchi as music composer. SILVER LINK is in charge of the animation production.
The main cast features Yuichiro Umehara as Anos Voldigold, Tomori Kusunoki as Misha Necron, and Yuko Natsuyoshi as Sash Necron.
The first season of The Misfit of Demon King Academy aired in 2020 and ran for 13 episodes. The second season was announced in March 2021. It will have a split-cour format.
The anime is based on the light novel series by Shuu with illustrations from Yoshinori Shizuma that began in 2018. The series, which has 14 volumes (12 if discounting volumes with two separately published parts) as of August 10, 2022, is published under Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko label.
