Chainsaw Man Anime Gets New Trailer, Will Have 12 Ending Songs

The upcoming Chainsaw Man anime adaptation has received a new trailer, which includes a look at the show’s supporting cast and a preview of the opening theme song “KICK BACK” by Kenshi Yonezu.

Additionally, it was revealed that Chainsaw Man will have 12 ending songs. They include “Hawatari Nioku Senchi” by maximum the hormone, “Chu, Tayousei” by ano, “Fight Song” by Eve, “Deep down” by Aimer, “Dainouteki na Rendezvous” by Kanaria, “In The Back Room” by syudou, “Violence” by QUEEN BEE, “Zanki” by ZUTOMAYO, “first death” by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure, “Jouzai” by TOOBOE, “CHAINSAW BLOOD” by Vaundy, and “DOGLAND” by PEOPLE 1. maximum the hormone is also performing the insert song.

Details about the supporting cast were made known as well. Shiori Izawa is voicing Pochita, Mariya Ise is voicing Himeno, Karin Takahashi is voicing Kobeni Higashiyama, Taku Yashiro is voicing Hirokazu Arai, and Kenjiro Tsuda is voicing Kishibe.

Chainsaw Man is set to premiere in Japan on October 11. It is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, which debuted in 2018. The first part of the manga ran from 2019 to 2021 in Weekly Shonen Jump. The second part began serialization on the Shonen Jump+ app and website in July. There are 11 tankoubon volumes published under the Jump Comics label as of March 2021.

Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!

The Chainsaw Man anime’s staff includes Ryuu Nakayama (Gamers! opening director and storyboarder et al., Macross Delta main animator, The Ryuo’s Work Is Never Done! opening director and storyboarder et al.) as director, Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) as character designer, Tatsuya Yoshihara (Black Clover director [until Episode 152] and chief director [Episode 153 onwards]) as action director, and Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan: The Final Season series composer) as scriptwriter.

Other staff include Makoto Nakazono (A3! assistant director) as chief episode director, Kiyotaka Oshiyama (Deca-Dence cyborg designer, DEVILMAN crybaby devil designer) as devil designer, Yusuke Takeda (Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-) as art director, Naomi Nakano (Kemono Jihen) as color designer, Teppei Itou (Jujutsu Kaisen) as photography director, Youhei Miyahara (Fate/Grand Order – Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia technical director) as photography supervisor, and Kensuke Ushio (Japan Sinks: 2020) as music composer. MAPPA is the animation production studio.

Meanwhile, the main cast includes Tomori Kusunoki as Makima, Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Shogo Sakata as Aki, and Fairouz Ai as Power.
