J-Novel Club Licenses 8 New Light Novel & Manga Titles, Announces Slayers Audiobook

J-Novel Club has announced that it has licensed eight new titles to its growing catalog on September 9, 2022. The new list of titles consist of six light novels and two manga series. 

The company also announced that it will have an exhibitor hall booth and industry panel at AnimeNYC 2022, which will run from November 18-20.

In other news, J-Novel Club will also be releasing the first volume of Hajime Kanzaka’s Slayers novel series as an audiobook. It will be narrated by the original English dub voice actress of Lina Inverse, Lisa Ortiz, and will be released on November 15, 2022. Pre-orders for the audiobook will be made available at a later date.

Meanwhile, here are the full details about J-Novel Club’s other releases:


The first new release is Momo Futaba’s manga spinoff of the Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill: Sui’s Great Adventure. Original writer Ren Eguchi is credited with the story while Masa is credited with the original character designs. 

The manga series was first serialized in Overlap’s Comic Garod magazine on August 24, 2018. Eight tankoubon volumes have been released as of June 2022.  

Kevin Chen is translating the manga into English, Adam Fogle is the editor, and Pekka “Vodoka” Luhtala is the letterer. 


The manga adaptation of Rebuild World is written by Kirihito Ayamura and illustrated by Nafuse, based on original character designs and art by Gin. The manga was first serialized in Dengeki Maoh magazine on July 26, 2019. Six tankoubon volumes of the series have been released so far. 

William Varteresian is the English translator, with NegativePrimes serving as editor and Vadim K as letterer. 


A unique light novel featuring a protagonist being reincarnated as an apple will be released in English for the first time. Reincarnated as an Apple: This Forbidden Fruit Is Forever Unblemished! is a light novel series written by Gato with illustrations by Itsuki Mito. It was first published by HJ Novels on June 19, 2021. 

Piyo is serving as translator for the light novels while Danny Miles is the editor. 


Another light novel series due for release is Peddler in Another World: I Can Go Back to My World Whenever I Want!. The series is written by Hiiro Shimotsuki and illustrated by Takashi Iwasaki. It was first published by HJ Novels on April 22, 2020. 

The English translator is Bérénice Vourdon and the editor is SMR


An Introvert’s Hookup Hiccups: This Gyaru Is Head Over Heels for Me! is a romantic comedy light novel series written by Yuishi and illustrated by Kagachisaku. It was first published by HJ Bunko on December 1, 2021. 

Satoko Kakihara is the English translator for the series and Stephanie Buck is the editor. 


Making Magic: The Sweet Life of a Witch Who Knows an Infinite MP Loophole is a fantasy light novel series written by Aloha Zachou with illustrations by Tetubuta. The light novels were first published by GC Novels in 2019. 

Emily Hemphill is serving as the English translator for the series and Nicholas Rose is serving as editor. 


The Invincible Little Lady is an isekai fantasy light novel series written by Chatsufusa and illustrated by fuumi. It was first published by GC Novels on August 30, 2017. 

The translator for the series is Roman Lempert and the editor is Zubonjin


The Mythical Hero’s Otherworld Chronicles is a high fantasy isekai light novel series written by Tatematsuri and illustrated by Ruria Miyuki. The series was first published by Overlap Bunko from May 25, 2015 to October 25, 2019. 13 physical volumes have been released, with around 91 total chapters collected. 

James Whittaker is translating the series into English and Tess Nanavati is serving as the editor.
