The Uncle From Another World isekai anime, which has received two delays so far, will release its next episode (Episode 8) in late November.

Episode 8 will premiere on November 24, while a November 25 date (effectively November 26 given the 25:35 PM time) is listed for streaming services. Episode 7 premiered on August 31.

In the meantime, Uncle From Another World will reair its existing episodes from October 6, beginning with the first episode. The show is reairing episodes 3, 4, 5, and 6 this month.

Uncle From Another World began in Japan on July 6. The anime is also available internationally on Netflix, albeit with different release schedules. The show is based on the Kadokawa-published manga by Hotondoshindeiru, which began in 2018 and has seven tankoubon volumes as of February 2022.

The main staff includes Shigeki Kawai (Blue Exorcist assistant director) as director, Kenta Ihara (Mieruko-Chan) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Kazuhiro Oota (Natsu no Arashi!) as character designer. Meanwhile, the main cast includes Takehito Koyasu as Ojisan, Jun Fukuyama as Takafumi, Mikako Komatsu as Fujimiya, Haruka Tomatsu as Elf, Aoi Yuuki as Mabel, and Aki Toyosaki as Alicia.

Yen Press describes the manga as:

Seventeen years ago, Takafumi’s uncle fell into a coma, but now he’s back like a man risen from his grave. Soon, Takafumi discovers two bizarre things: His uncle treasures video games above all else, and, while comatose, he was actually transported to another world as some heroic guardian! Now, not only does Takafumi have to room with an uncle who is literally magical, he also has to catch the guy up on two decades of history—smartphones, high-speed internet, modern anime tropes…and the traumatic outcome of the ’90s console war!

Melvyn originally wanted to write about video games, so he spent a few years, starting from his college days, doing so. He still likes video games, but now focuses on writing anime-related news content and the occasional review for Anime Trending. Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive.
