Love Flops Gets October 12 Release Date

The original anime Love Flops is set to premiere on October 12 in Japan. The first two episodes will be screened in advance at a September 25 event at EJ Anime Theater Shinjuku, which will feature a cast talk show as well.

Love Flops follows high school student Asahi Kashiwagi and his new relationships with five girls who all happen to be either transfer students, exchange students, or new teachers. The cast members include Ryouta Oosaka as Asahi, Miku Itou as Aoi Mizumisawa, Ayana Taketatsu as Amelia Irving, Rie Takahashi as Ilya Ilyukhin, Hisako Kanemoto as Bai Mongfa, Marika Kouno as Karin Istel, and Jun Fukuyama as Yoshio Ijuin.

Yoshinobu Nagayama (Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan) is directing with Midori Yui (Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru) and Fujiaki Asari (Higurashi: When They Cry – Sotsu episode director) as assistant directors, Toru Yasumoto (Steins;Gate 0 co-scenario supervisisor) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Ueta Kazuyuki (Kiniro Mosaic: Thank You!!) as character designer and chief animation director. Passione is producing the show.

Other staff include Sakie Suzuki (Slave Harem in the Labyrinth of the Other World) as color designer, Kouji Hayashi (Love To-LIE-Angle) as photography director, and Kenichiro Suehiro (Shadows House) as music composer. Kusanagi is credited with the art direction.
