Beastars Final Season Gets 2024 Netflix Release Date

The final season of Beastars will make its way to Netflix sometime in 2024, it has been revealed.

Shinichi Matsumi and Nanami Higuchi are returning as director and scriptwriter respectively.

Beastars Season 2 was released globally on July 15 on Netflix, after initially airing in Japan from January to March. The anime’s first season premiered in October 2019 in Japan and was released globally in early 2020.

Netflix describes the show as:

In a world where beasts of all kinds coexist, a gentle wolf awakens to his own predatory urges as his school deals with a murder within its midst.

Both Beastars seasons featured Nao Ootsu as character designer, Eiji Inomoto as chief CG director, Minami Kasuga as art director, Satoshi Hashimoto as color designer, and Satoru Kousaki as music composer. Shiori Furusho and Chae Baek Ryun served as photography directors on Season 1, while Season 2 only had Chae in the role.

Production studio Orange had announced back in July 2021 that the anime would be getting a new arc.

The anime is based on the Akita Shoten-published manga series by Paru Itagaki, which began in 2016 and ended in 2020 with 22 tankoubon volumes. The manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion.

Melvyn originally wanted to write about video games, so he spent a few years, starting from his college days, doing so. He still likes video games, but now focuses on writing anime-related news content and the occasional review for Anime Trending. Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive.
