The upcoming second season of the Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! comedy anime series will air on October 1, 2022. The production team for the series has also revealed a new key visual, additional voice cast members, and the ending theme song.

The additional cast for the new characters includes Miki Itou as Haruko Sakurai and Tomokazu Sugita as Shirou Sakurai. They join the returning voice cast consisting of Naomi Oozora as Hana Uzaki, Kenji Akabane as Shinichi Sakurai, Ayana Taketatsu as Ami Asai, Tomoya Takagi as Sakaki Itsuhito, Yousuke Akimoto as Akihiko Asai, and Saori Hayami as Tsuki Uzaki, Seina Katou as Yanagi Uzaki, Hideo Ishikawa as Fujio Uzaki, and Yuuko Sanpei as Kiri Uzaki.


Meanwhile, the ending theme for Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! season two will be “Happy Life,” performed by MKLNtic and written, composed, and arranged by Chinozo. The opening theme is “Ichigo Ichie Celebration” by singer Kano and Naomi Oozora herself.
The production staff from season one are returning to work on the second season. The team consists of Miura Kazuya as director, Takashi Ooshima as series screenwriter, Manabu Kurihara as character designer and chief animation director, Satoshi Okubo (The Dungeon of Black Company assistant art director) as art director, Haruko Nobori (The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody) as color designer, Yuusuke Yamamoto (PuraOre! Pride of Orange compositor) as photography director, Tokyo Logic’s Satoshi Igarashi as music composer. ENGI is handling the animation production for the series once again.
Additionally, Yuri Morita, Tatsuya Yano (The Detective Is Already Dead), Naoki Tani join Igarashi as music composers, while Shinichi Fukumoto (Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs co-director) is assisting Kazuya with directorial duties. Masahiko Suzuki (Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs character designer) and Shinpei Koikawa (Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle character designer) are in charge of chief animation direction duties.
The original manga series by Take was first serialized in Niconico Seiga’s Dra Dra Sharp website on December 1, 2017, under Fujimi Shobo’s Dragon Comics Age imprint. Eight tankoubon volumes have been published as of March 2022, with an upcoming ninth volume due for release on September 9, 2022. Seven Seas Entertainment releases the series in English.

Crunchyroll streamed the first season in July 2020. It describes the anime’s synopsis as:
