Doujin circle C2 Kikan has revealed that Kagami Yoshimizu’s Lucky Star comedy manga will return for publication in Kadokawa’s Mitaina! magazine. The series will resume with the magazine’s third issue, which will be released on November 10, 2022.

Yoshimizu had first put the Lucky Star manga on hiatus in May 2014 to focus on developing other projects, including the original TV anime Maesetsu!. The revival marks eight years since its last published chapter.

The manga series was first serialized in Kadokawa’s Comptiq magazine on December 10, 2003.  It has also been featured in various other magazines for periods of time such as Shounen Ace, Newtype, Comp Ace, Dragon Magazine, Mobile Newtype and Kadokawa Hotline. 10 tankoubon volumes have been released as of November 2014.

Lucky Star has also inspired various media adaptations, including a 24-episode television anime series from Kyoto Animation, spin-off manga series, light novels, OVAs, ONAs, and video games as well.

Viz Media acquired the digital licensing rights for the manga in English for North America. The series is described as:

What’s the best way to eat dessert? Do twins really have a psychic connection? What kind of guys are into moe girls? These are the kinds of questions that float through the inquisitive mind of anime super-fan Konata Izumi. When she’s not lost in her favorite manga or logging hours in one of her online games, she’s debating the mysteries of the universe with the best friends a girl could ask for.
