The production team for the 4-nin wa Sorezore Uso wo Tsuku anime series has revealed five new voice cast members for the show. The anime is expected to premiere this coming October 2022.
The new voice cast consists of Yuu Serizawa as Tsubasa, Yuuya Hirose as Hanzo, Youji Ueda as Brian-sensei, Tomoko Kaneda as Maskuma, and Houchuu Ootsuka as the series’ narrator. They join a main cast headlined by Chiemi Tanaka as Rikka, Natsumi Murakami as Chiyo, Ayane Sakura as Sekine, and Megumi Han as Tsubasa.
Additionally, voice acting unit NACHEERY, consisting of Tanaka and Murakami, will be singing the anime’s opening theme “Eclipse.”
The animation production team includes Makoto Hoshino (Banished from the Hero`s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside) as director, Megumi Shimizu (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! X) as series screenwriter, Ruriko Watanabe (Dame Pri Anime Caravan) as character designer, and Tomoki Kikuya (Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World) as music composer. Studio Flad is in charge of the series’ animation production.
The ABC animation television channel has also listed the anime with the English title The Little Lies We All Tell.
The original 4-nin wa Sorezore Uso wo Tsuku manga by Madoka Kashihara was first published in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shounen Magazine on April 9, 2020. Two tankoubon volumes have been collected so far, with the most recent volume being released on April 7, 2022.
The series follows the daily life of four high school best friends — Rikka, Chiyo, Sekine, and Tsubasa — who attend an all-girls school. However, each one of them is hiding a secret from the others. Rikka believes she is an alien invader, Chiyo is a runaway ninja, Sekine has hidden psychic powers, and Tsubasa is masquerading as a cross-dressing boy, who switched places with his twin sister.
