A character trailer has been released for Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki‘s Aoi Hinami, with the upcoming character song “Real Life Attack” featured in it. The song is scheduled to release on August 17 via streaming.

As for the upcoming new Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki anime project, the YouTube description for “Real Life Attack” mentions that it is in “earnest production.”

The first season of Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki aired in 2021 during the Winter anime season with 12 episodes. The anime is based on the light novels by Yuuki Yaku with illustrations from Fly, which are published under Shogakukan’s Gagagan Bunko label.

Yen Press describes the light novels as:

Tomozaki is one of the best gamers in Japan, and in his opinion, the game of real life is one of the worst. No clear-cut rules for success, horribly balanced, and nothing makes sense. But then he meets a gamer who’s just as good as him, and she offers to teach him a few exploits…

The main staff of Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki‘s first season includes Shinsuke Yanagi (My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex) as director, Akane Yano (Prima Doll) as character designer, Fumihiko Shimo (Date A Live IV) as series composer, and Hiromi Mizutani (My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex) as music composer. The show was produced by project No.9

Meanwhile, its main cast includes Gen Satou as Fumiya Tomozaki, Hisako Kanemoto as Aoi Hinami, Ikumi Hasegawa as Minami Nanami, Ai Kayano as Fuuka Kikuchi, Maekawa Ryoko as Hanabi Natsubayashi, and Nene Hieda as Yuzu Izumi.

The light novel series began in 2016 and has 12 volumes, including two short story collections, as of January 2022. The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation by Eito Chida and a Minami Nanami-centric manga spin-off by Bana Yoshida.
