The Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon light novel series is getting adapted into an anime. An announcement trailer for the adaptation revealed that the anime was “coming soon.”

The Kadokawa-published light novels are written by Hirukuma and illustrated by Itsuwa Katou. The series, published under the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko label, began in 2016 and has three volumes as of 2017.

The story began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2016. A manga adaptation by Kunieda with character designs from Hagure Yuuki began in 2021.

Yen Press describes the Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon manga as:

When the world’s biggest vending machine fan meets an unfortunate end, he’s transported to another world…as a vending machine! Unable to walk or talk, and fated to only dispense goods, how will he survive in a world of magic and monsters?!

Melvyn originally wanted to write about video games, and he did so for a few years, starting from his college days. He still writes about video games sometimes, but now focuses on anime-related news content and the occasional review. Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive. Every anime season, Melvyn looks forward to discovering new standout episodes and OP/ED animation sequences, as well as learning about the storyboard artists and directors behind them.
