hololive VTuber Houshou Marine has released an anime music video for the song “I’m Your Treasure Box.”
The video features an assortment of sensual poses and expressions from Marine, as well as some bouncy dance sequences. It also makes use of several visual styles, notably near the start of the second half.
“I’m Your Treasure Box” is directed by Tease, who previously storyboarded Marine’s “Unison” animated music video in addition to contributing animation and color editing, and has background art from FLAT STUDIO’s TJ (Summer Ghost background artist).
Some of the animators who worked on “I’m Your Treasure Box” include Cona Nitanda (“Dilemma”), Masato Anno (Flying Witch and Slow Start character designer), Eri Irei (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform Episode 10 storyboarder, Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Episode 11 director and storyboarder et al.), Takahito Sakazume (Princess Connect: ReDive Season 2 Episode 4 director et al., Fate/Apocrypha action director), Naoya Nakayama (Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Season 2 Episode 9 dance part storyboarder and director et al.), and Tease.
Marine debuted in 2019 as part of Hololive’s third generation, Hololive Fantasy, and is designed by illustrator AI Akasa. The “Around 17”-year old is an aspiring pirate who is working as a VTuber to earn enough money to get a ship. Her profile also describes her as a “sensual, femme fatale boss.”
Marine released a solo album titled “#GENSOKYOholoism” in 2020. Her solo singles include “Marine Set Sail!!,” “Unison,” and “Ahoy!! We are Houshou Pirates.”
