In Another World With My Smartphone Season 2 Coming in Spring 2023, J.C.STAFF Producing


The second season of In Another World With My Smartphone is set to premiere in Spring 2023. A teaser visual has been released.

As reported by Comic Natalie, J.C.STAFF is producing the new season of In Another World With My Smartphone instead of Ashi Productions (then known as Production Reed). The new staff includes Yoshiaki Iwasaki (Monster Girl Doctor) as director, Deko Akao (When Will Ayumu Make His Move?) as series composer and scriptwriter, Chinatsu Kameyama (Kemono Michi: Rise Up co-sub character designer) as character designer and chief animation director, Eiji Iwase (Tamayomi) as art director, Eiko Nishi (The Detective Is Already Dead) as color designer, Yutaka Kurosawa (Combatants Will Be Dispatched!) as photography director, and Kei Yoshikawa (Love of Kill) and Yamada Kouhei as music composers.


Additionally, there will be new cast additions in the form of Miyu Takagi as Lucia Rea Regulus, Yuu Serizawa as Hildegard Minas Lestia, and Miyu Kubota as Sakura. 

The returning cast includes Katsumi Fukuhara as Touya Mochizuki, Marika Kouno as Yumina Ernea Belfast, Maaya Uchida as Elze Silhoueska, Yui Fukuo as Linze Silhoueska, Chinatsu Akasaki as Yae Kokonoe, Nanami Yamashita as Sushie Ernea Ortlinde, and Sumire Uesaka as Leen.

The Hobby Japan-published In Another World With My Smartphone light novel series is written by Batora Fuyuhara and illustrated by Eiji Usatsuka. It is published under the HJ Novels label. It began in 2015 and has 25 volumes as of February 2022.

The story began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2013. A Kadokawa-published manga adaptation by Soto began in 2016. J-Novel Club publishes In Another World With My Smartphone in English.
