The Alice Gear Aegis Expansion television anime series has been scheduled for a 2023 release. An exact premiere date has yet to be announced.
The production team for the series released a special teaser visual, along with news of the 2023 release date.
The character designs and voice cast members of the three female leads were also revealed. The cast consists of Manami Numakura as Yotsuyu Hirasaka, Maaya Uchida as Sitara Kaneshiya, and Yui Ishikawa as Fumika Momoshina.
The main production staff consists of several staff members from the 2021 Alice Gear Aegis OVA. They include Hirokazu Hanai (Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro) as director, Kenji Sugihara (A Certain Scientific Accelerator) as screenwriter, and Rikiya Okano, Kanetake Ebikawa, Takayuki Yanase, and Fumikane Shimada as character and co-mecha designers. Pyramid is credited as the original creator and supervisor for the series. NOMAD is handling the animation production.
Alice Gear Aegis Expansion is based on the Alice Gear Aegis mobile game that first launched on Andorid and iOS devices on January 22, 2018. News of an anime adaptation was first announced in January 2022, with voice actor Houchuu Ootsuka narrating the special announcement trailer. A PC port was released on June 4, 2019. The mobile game franchise has also inspired several manga and light novels.
