The production team for the 4-nin wa Sorezore Uso wo Tsuku television anime series has revealed a new key visual and PV teaser trailer showcasing the main characters. The anime will premiere this coming October 2022.
4-nin wa Sorezore Uso wo Tsukui is also listed with the English title “The Little Lies We All Tell” by the ABC animation television channel. This English localization title is not official and currently unconfirmed.
The main voice cast is headlined by Chiemi Tanaka as Rikka, Natsumi Murakami as Chiyo, Ayane Sakura as Sekine, and Megumi Han as Tsubasa.
The production staff includes Makoto Hoshino (Banished from the Hero`s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside) as director, Megumi Shimizu (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! X) as series screenwriter, Ruriko Watanabe (Dame Pri Anime Caravan) as character designer, and Tomoki Kikuya (Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World) as music composer. Studio Flad is handling the series’ animation production.
The original manga series by Madoka Kashihara was first published in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shounen Magazine on April 9, 2020. Two tankoubon volumes have been published so far, with the most recent volume being released on April 7, 2022.
The story follows the ordinary life of four high school girls — Rikka, Chiyo, Sekine, and Tsubasa — who attend an all-girls school as best friends. However, each girl is hiding a secret from the others. Rikka believes she is an alien invader, Chiyo is a runaway ninja, Sekine has hidden psychic powers, and Tsubasa is masquerading as a cross-dressing boy, who switched identities with his twin sister, who is currently attending an all-boys school with her favorite idol singer.
