YUREI DECO Previews Anime OP & ED Theme Song Artists

The production team of the YUREI DECO anime series has revealed the artists who will be performing the show’s opening and ending theme songs. The anime series is scheduled to premiere on July 3, 2022. 

The anime’s opening theme is “1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 LOVE,” performed by clammbon and arranged by DÉ DÉ MOUSE. Meanwhile, the ending theme “I’m in LOVE” will be performed by Hack’nBerry and PASOCOM MUSIC CLUB

Hack’nBerry consists of voice actresses Anna Nagase and Mira Kawakatsu, who voice Hack and lead heroine Berry respectively. Other voice cast members for YUREI DECO include Miyu Irino as Finn, Setsuji Satou as Hank, Sayuri Sadoka as Madam 44, and Rie Kugimiya as Smiley.

The production staff includes Tomohisa Shimoyama (Super Shiro) as director, Dai Satou (Super Crooks) as series composer and scriptwriter, Kimiko Ueno (Crayon Shin-chan: Shrouded in Mystery! The Flowers of Tenkazu Academy) as scriptwriter, and Akira Homma (Carnage) as character designer. Masaaki Yuasa (Inu-Oh and The Tatami Galaxy director) and Satou are credited as the show’s creators. Science SARU is handling the animation production for the anime. 

Other staff members involved in production are Fumitaka Akai (Ride Your Wave) as art director, Kunio Tsujita (Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-) as color designer, Yoshihiro Sekiya (Inu-Oh) and Hikari Itoh (Seven Knights Revolution: Hero Successor assistant photography director) as photography directors, and Mito (Wonder Egg Priority), pianist Kotaro Saito, and DJ Yebisu303 as music composers.

Yurei Deco will be streamed by Crunchyroll outside of Japan as part of its Summer 2022 anime lineup. The official anime website describes the premise as:

The citizens of the data-managed society of Tom Sawyer Island use the sensory immersion information called Deco in order to interact with the virtual spaces known as the Hyperverse as part of their daily lives. The Love score is used to accredit everything on the island, and its citizens spend their lives in pursuit of Love. 

But that island is also plagued by cases where all Love values are voided, the “Zero Phenomenon,” thought to be caused by the mysterious Phantom Zero!

One day, a girl named Berry meets Hack and crew, who call themselves gh0sts. In order to solve the mystery of Phantom Zero and the Zero Phenomenon, the form the Yurei Detective Club. And in time, Berry will discover the island’s secrets…
