Skip & Loafer Receives TV Anime Adaptation From P.A. Works

P.A. Works has revealed that they are working on a television anime adaptation of the Skip & Loafer manga series. They also released a 30-second teaser trailer promoting the series, as well as more information on the production staff and voice cast. 

Voice actress Tomoyo Kurosawa is voicing the main character Mitsumi, while Akinori Egoshi is voicing her friend Shima. 

The anime production staff consists of Kotomi Deai (Natsume Yujin-cho Go) as director and series screenwriter, Manami Umeshita (Stella Women`s Academy, High School Division Class C3) as character designer and chief animation supervisor, and Takatsugu Wakabayashi (Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer) as music composer. Original manga creator Misaki Takamatsu is credited with the original work. P.A. Works is handling the animation production. 

Takamatsu first launched the manga series in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine on August 25, 2018. It is published under the Afternoon KC imprint and has released six tankoubon volumes in total so far. 

Seven Seas Entertainment releases the Skip & Loafer manga series in English for North America. It describes the story as: 

Mitsumi is bound for high school in Tokyo! She’s got book smarts, but this small-town girl is about to find out she’s massively unprepared for the social norms of big city high schoolers.
