Otaku Elf Anime Adaptation Announced

An anime adaptation of the Otaku Elf manga by Akihiko Higuchi has been announced with a key visual and trailer.

Takebumi Anzai (Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu, PuraOre! Pride of Orange) is directing Otaku Elf with Shogo Yasukawa (The Executioner and Her Way of Life) as series composer and scriptwriter, Takeshi Oda (Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina) as character designer and chief animation director, and Akito Matsuda (HibikeEuphonium Movie 3: Chikai no Finale) as music composer. C2C is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the main cast includes Yuka Ozaki as Koito Koganei and Ami Koshimizu as Elda.

The Kodansha-published manga series began in 2019 and will release its sixth tankoubon volume on June 16, 2022. It is serialized in Shonen Magazine Edge and published under the Shonen Magazine Edge Comics label.

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the plot as:

Koganei Koito works as the teenage shrine maiden at the Takamimi Shrine, catering to the whims of its resident: a centuries-old elf who loves video games as much as she hates going outside! Line up your offerings for the otaku elf—some energy drinks, chips and video games will do nicely—and watch her new friends scramble to keep up!
