The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 1 is set to premiere on December, Netflix has announced. More character art for the spin-off film was also released.
The two-part animated movie will focus on Tristan, the son of Meliodas and a character in The Seven Deadly Sins sequel The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights Of The Apocalypse . Ayumu Murase is the main voice of Tristan, while Mikako Komatsu is voicing the younger version.
Grudge of Edinburgh is the third and latest The Seven Deadly Sins anime movie, following 2018’s The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky and 2021’s The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light. Unlike the first two movies, Grudge of Edinburgh appears to be a full 3DCG affair. There have also been several anime seasons of The Seven Deadly Sins, the first of which aired in 2014 while the latest aired in 2021. A1-Pictures produced the first two seasons, the four-episode Signs of Holy War, and Prisoners of the Sky, while the other seasons and Cursed By Light were produced by Studio Deen.
Netflix describes the original series as:
After the Holy Knights stage a coup and kill her father, Princess Elizabeth sets out to find the Seven Deadly Sins, an outlaw band of tough knights.
