The official website for Vinland Saga revealed that the first season will stream on Netflix worldwide, excluding China, and in select regions on HiDive and Crunchyroll beginning July 7. The anime original premiered in July 2019.
HiDive will stream the series in North & South America, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, South Africa, Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal; while Crunchyroll stream it in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.
Amazon Prime Video is currently streaming the series worldwide, excluding China.
Vinland Saga Season 2 was announced for January 2023. MAPPA is in charge of the animation production with key staff reprising its role.
Vinland Saga has previously won the Anime of the Year Award at the 6th Anime Trending Awards in 2019. WIT Studio was in charge of the animation production of the first season.
The original manga series is written by Makoto Yukimura and published in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine in Japan. Kodansha USA is publishing the manga series in English for North America.
