The upcoming Spriggan Netflix anime has received a full-length main trailer, providing a 90-second preview of the show’s premise and action.
Additional cast details were revealed as well, with Saori Hayami as Maria Clemente, Takayuki Sugou as Bowman, and Mitsuho Kambe as Rie Yamabishi. It was also announced that Taisei Iwasaki (Belle co-composer) is the show’s music composer and that the soundtrack will be released worldwide through streaming and download on June 18, the date of the show’s release.
The six-episode series is based on the manga written by Hiroshi Takashige and drawn by Ryoji Minagawa, which ran from 1989 to 1996. Prior to this anime adaptation, there was an anime movie released in 1998.
Netflix describes Spriggan as:
A great civilization once existed on this Earth. Possessing knowledge and scientific prowess far exceeding that of modern man, the relics of this ancient civilization remain hidden across this world even now. As high-speed communication networks cover the globe and the peering eyes of satellites are able to expose all secrets, the armies of great nations clash as they seek to uncover and research these artifacts, which possess an unfathomable “power.”
A member of this ancient civilization carved a message into a plate: “Protect our relics from evil-doers.” Taking this message to heart, one organization aims to seal away this ancient civilization for good. The elite secret agents of this organization are known as…Spriggans.

The staff includes Hiroshi Kobayashi (Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan, Kiznaiver) as director, Shuuhei Handa (Little Witch Academia main character designer) as character designer and chief animation director, Shouhei Miyake (Carole and Tuesday episode director) as assistant director, JNTHED (Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker mecha designer) as production designer, Norihito Ishii (Penguin Highway) as CG director, Osamu Mikasa (Dororo) as color designer, Yuuji Kaneko (Ranking of Kings as art director, and Yousuke Motoki (Fire Force) as photography director. David Production is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Chiaki Kobayashi as Yu Ominae, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Iwao Akatsuki, Tetsu Inada as Bo Brantz, Youhei Azakami as Jean Jacquemonde, Ryouta Takeuchi as Larry Markson, Ayumu Murase as Colonel MacDougall, Takehito Koyasu as Mirage, Ken Narita as Kouichi Moroha, Mariya Ise as Yoshino Somei, Akio Ootsuka as Steve H. Foster, and Kenji Hamada as Yamamoto.
