The Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie anime is set to receive some episode delays, a schedule update has revealed.
The changes will begin with Episode 7, which was meant to air on May 21. The episode will now air on May 28 instead, while a special program fills its original slot. Another delay will happen on June 11, with Episode 9 to air on June 18 while another special program takes its original slot.
The delays also mean that the last two episodes of the show will now air in July on the 2nd and 9th respectively, instead of ending the show in June.
In early April, it was announced that the Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie production committee was deliberating on the anime’s broadcast plans due to a covid outbreak at animation production studio Doga Kobo, which was temporarily closed from April 6 to April 18. Technoroid Overmind, another Doga Kobo production, was also affected and had a delay announced in late April.
Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie is an adaptation of Keigo Maki‘s 2019 romantic-comedy manga about a teenager and his cute-but-also-cool girlfriend. The main staff includes Ryouta Itou (Sing “Yesterday” for Me assistant director) as director, Shouhei Yamanaka (Remake Our Life! Ep 1-7 assistant director) as assistant director, Ai Kikuchi (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle) as character designer, and Yoshimi Narita (My Senpai Is Annoying) as series composer. Meanwhile, the main cast includes Saori Oonishi as Shikimori and Shuuichirou Umeda as Izumi.
Crunchyroll is streaming the Spring 2022 anime in non-Asian territories, while Muse Asia is streaming it in Southeast Asia.
