Love Live! Superstar!! Reveals The Cast Behind New Season 2 Characters

Following last month’s reveal that four new characters will join the cast of Love Live! Superstar!! for the anime’s second season, the Love Live! website has now announced the voice actors behind the incoming new faces.

The new cast members include Nozomi Suzuhara as Kinako Sakurakoji, Akane Yabushima as Mei Yoneme, Wakana Ookuma as Shiki Wakana, and Aya Emori as Natsumi Onitsuka. The existing main cast that they are joining includes Sayuri Date as Kanon Shibuya, Liyuu as Tang Keke, Nako Misaki as Chisato Arashi, Naomi Payton as Sumire Heanna, and Nagisa Aoyama as Ren Hazuki. 

An illustration of the four new characters, which will serve as the cover image for the LoveLive!Days Liella! SPECIAL Vol.02 2022 May Issue, was released by the anime’s Twitter page.

A photo of the four new Liella! additions with the existing five cast members was released as well. The real-life nine-person Liella! lineup will have its debut Liella! Live Broadcast livestream on June 8, ahead of the Love Live! Superstar!! Liella! LIVE & FAN Meeting Tour ~Welcome to Yuigaoka!!~that begins on June 11.

Love Live! Superstar!! Season 2 is set to premiere in Japan in July. The first season, which premiered in July 2021, followed five freshmen in the Yuigaoka all-girls high school who form the Liella idol group.

The first season’s main staff includes Takahiro Kyougoku (Land of the Lustrous) as director, Jukki Hanada (Granbelm) as series composer, Yuuhei Murota (Love Live! Sunshine!!) as original character designer, and Atsushi Saitou (Blackfox) as character designer. Sunrise is the animation production company.

Love Live! Superstar!! is part of the Love Live! multimedia franchise that began in 2013. Another Love Live! anime series, Love Live! Nijigasaki, began airing its own second season on April 2.
