Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Releases Two New Trailers

Two new PV trailers for the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero have been released on March 22nd, 2022. A 30-second teaser PV and a 1-minute main trailer highlights some of the film’s plot and action sequences.

This news comes right after Toei announced that the film would be indefinitely delayed from its original April 2022 release. An initial trailer and key visual was released earlier this month.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the second film in the Dragon Ball Super franchise and a sequel to Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The film will explore the theme of “superheroes” as its title suggests. Many Dragon Ball voice actors from the franchise are reprising their respective roles in the new film including Masako Nozawa, Toshio Furukawa, Ryou Hirokawa, Takeshi Kusao, Aya Hisakawa, and many more.

The anime television series ran from 2015 to 2018. The manga series is written by Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou. It was first serialized in Shueisha’s V Jump magazine and has 17 tankoubon volumes in total so far.

Tetsurou Kodama (Dragon Ball Super: Broly co-CG sequence director) is directing the CG film. Kubota Chikashi (One-Punch Man character designer) serves as animation director, Nobuhito Sue (Dragon Ball Super: Broly art designer) is the art director, Rumiko Nagai (Dragon Ball Super: Broly) is handling color designs, and Naoki Satou (EUREKA: EUREKA SEVEN HI-EVOLUTION) is the film’s music composer. Akira Toriyama is handling the character designs and writing the script. Toei Animation is handling the animation production.
