Netflix has released a full trailer for Adam by Eve: A Live in Animation. The show, described as a “mysterious tale told through a blend of live-action, 3DCG and 2D animation,” is set to be released on March 15.

Adam by Eve: A Live in Animation will feature two new songs from Japanese artist Eve, titled “Bouto” and “Taikutsu wo Saienshinaide” respectively. The “Bouto” segment is produced by Studio Khara and directed by Hibiki Yoshizaki (“Me!Me!Me!” music video), while “Taikutsu wo Saienshinaide” is helmed by Waboku (“Sion” music video).

Additionally, “Kaikai Kitan,” the first opening for Jujutsu Kaisen, will be featured in Adam by Eve: A Live in Animation as well, with the music video’s director Yuichirou Saeki helming the segment and khaki credited for the visual effects. Nobutaka Yoda (Makafushigi) is the director and scriptwriter for the overall project.

Netflix describes the story as:

High school student Aki wanders into a strange world created by the mysterious entity “Hitotsume-sama” in search of her friend Taki, who suddenly disappeared before her eyes. Guided by Taki’s voice, she finds a fictional Shibuya district that is neither dream nor reality. But what lies there?

Melvyn originally wanted to write about video games, and he did so for a few years, starting from his college days. He still writes about video games sometimes, but now focuses on anime-related news content and the occasional review. Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive. Every anime season, Melvyn looks forward to discovering new standout episodes and OP/ED animation sequences, as well as learning about the storyboard artists and directors behind them.
