Shaman King Releases New Trailer, Great Spirits Arc Visual

The Shaman King anime has received a new trailer dubbed “The Final Decisive Battle” and a new visual for the “Great Spirits” arc.

Shaman King premiered in April 2021 in Japan, with the first 13 episodes later being released on Netflix in August 2021. The anime is based on the manga by Hiroyuki Takei, which ran from 1998 to 2004 with 32 tankoubon volumes. The manga was originally published by Shueisha before being republished by Kodansha in 2018. It received an anime adaptation in 2001 prior to the current 2021 series.

Netflix describes the show as:

Medium Yoh Asakura enters a battle tournament held every 500 years, competing with other shamans in a bid to become the all-powerful Shaman King.

The staff of Shaman King includes Jouji Furuta (The Seven Deadly SinsRevival of The CommandmentsUta no Prince-sama: Maji Love Kingdom) as director, Jouji Yonemura (Wave, Listen to Me!) as series composer, Sano Satohiko (Talentless Nana) as character designer, Masaaki Kawaguchi (Talentless Nana) as art director, Natsuko Ootsuka (In/Spectre) as color designer, Teruyuki Kawase (Talentless Nana) as photography director, and Yuuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia series) as music composer. Studio Bridge is in charge of the animation production.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Youko Hikasa as Yoh Asakura, Katsuyuki Konishi as Amidamaru, Megumi Hayashibara as Anna Kyoyama, Romi Park as Tao Ren, Yoko Soumi as Lyserg, Motoko Kumai as Chocolove, Yuuji Ueda as Horohoro, Yui Horie as Jeanne, and Minami Takayama as Hao.
