Meanwhile, the staff page has been refreshed to reveal the return of color designer Asuka Hino, art director Shinji Kawai, and photography director Tougou Yoshihiro. The previously revealed returning staff from the first season include Hiroaki Sakurai as director, Oochi Keiichirou as series composer, and Mai Ootsuka as character designer. J.C Staff is the animation production company.

The anime is based on Izumo Itou’s Houbunsha-published manga, which began in 2014 and has six volumes as of February 2021. It is serialized in Manga Time Kirara Carat and published under the Manga Time KR Comics label. Seven Seas publishes the manga in English.

HiDive describes the first season, which aired in 2019, as:

Yuko Yoshida is just an ordinary schoolgirl — until Lilith unleashes her dormant, devilish powers. Now Yuko must defeat Momo Chiyoda, the shrine maiden of the Light Clan who just so happens to go to her school!

Melvyn originally wanted to write about video games, and he did so for a few years, starting from his college days. He still writes about video games sometimes, but now focuses on anime-related news content and the occasional review. Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive. Every anime season, Melvyn looks forward to discovering new standout episodes and OP/ED animation sequences, as well as learning about the storyboard artists and directors behind them.
