JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 Opens March 18 in North American Theaters

JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 will begin premiering in U.S. and Canadian theaters on March 18. Tickets for the film will be on sale starting from March 1, 2022. Crunchyroll also revealed more images from the film, as well as a new PV trailer. 

It will be available in both English subbed and dubbed versions, as well as in select U.S. IMAX theaters. It will have an estimated running time of 105 minutes. It is the 27th highest grossing film in Japan and will also premiere in Southeast Asian countries in March. 

The main cast features Megumi Ogata as Yuta Okkotsu, Kana Hanazawa as Rika Orimoto, Mikako Komatsu as Maki Zen’in, Kouki Uchiyama as Toge Inumaki, Tomokazu Seki as Panda, Yuuichi Nakamura as Satoru Gojou, and Takahiro Sakurai as Suguru Getou. 

MAPPA is handling animation production with Sunghoo Park (JUJUTSU KAISEN) as director. Some staff members from the main JUJUTSU KAISEN series return to work on the film, including Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan: The Final Season) as the main scriptwriter, Tadashi Hiramatsu (JUJUTSU KAISEN) as lead character designer, and Yui Umemoto (Grand Blue Fantasy The Animation Season 2) as assistant director. 

In addition to being screened in the U.S., Canada, and Southeast Asia, JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 will premiere in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand in association with Crunchyroll and Funimation. Wakanim will also help screen the film in additional European countries.

The dark fantasy film, based on Gege Akutami’s titular 2017 manga series, follows Yuta Okkotsu, a nervous high school student, who enrolls in the mysterious Tokyo Jujutsu High School under the guidance of Satoru Gojo after being haunted by the curse of his childhood friend.
