A new key visual and PV trailer for the upcoming anime Shachiku-san wa Youjo Yuurei ni Iyasaretai was released ahead of its April 2022 premiere. Project No.9 is in charge of animation production for the series.

The opening and ending theme songs were also revealed with cast members Kaori Ishihara and Maaya Ucihda contributing vocals. Ishihara will sing the series’ main opening theme “Cherish” while Uchida will sing the ending theme “Kikoeru?”

Meanwhile, the anime’s cast consists of Hisako Kanemoto as Fushihara-san, Rina Hidaka as Yuurei-chan, and Konomi Kohara as Myako. Maaya Uchida voices Kurahashi-san and Kaori Ishihara plays Lily.

Kuu Nanbara will be directing their first series while Deko Akao (The Case Study of Vanitas) handles screenwriting. Haruka Tanaka (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) will be in charge of character designs. Satoshi Houno (Lapis Re:Lights) and Ryuunosuke Kasai (Love After World Domination) will handle the series’ musical score.

An anime adaptation based on Imari Arita’s supernatural comedy series was first announced last June in Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine. The manga series was first published on Twitter before its magazine serialization in August 2019 and has collected six tankoubon volumes so far.

The story is described as following the heartwarming daily life of Fushihara-san, an overworked company slave, and a mysterious ghost who wants to help her. One day, while Fushihara is working until midnight, the voice of the mysterious ghost tells her to leave for her own health.
