Trapped in a Dating Sim Anime Reveals 1st Key Visual

Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs has received its first key visual, which depicts protagonist Leon Fou Bartfort heading into battle with a gun and sword. The adaptation of Yomu Mishima’s light novel series is set to premiere in April.

A trailer and teaser visual were released in November 2021.

The MICRO MAGAZINE, INC.-published source material, which features illustrations from Monda, began in 2018 and has nine volumes as of November 2021. A manga adaptation published by KADOKAWA also began in 2018. The story began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2017.

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the story as:

Office worker Leon is reincarnated into a dating sim video game, where women reign supreme and only beautiful men have a seat at the table. But Leon has a secret weapon: he remembers everything from his past life, which includes a complete playthrough of the very game in which he is now trapped. Can Leon spark a revolution to change this new world order?

The staff of the Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs anime includes Miura Kazuya (Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life!) and Shinichi Fukumoto (The Detective Is Already Dead assistant director) as directors, Kenta Ihara (Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy) as series composer, and Masahiko Suzuki (Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life! sub-character designer) as character designer. ENGI is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Takeo Ootsuka as Leon Fou Bartfort, Kana Ichinose as Olivia, and Fairouz Ai as Angelica Rapha Redgrave.
