Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie Pushed to April 9

The Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie anime’s Twitter page has announced that the show will now premiere on April 9 instead of April 2.

Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie is based on the romantic comedy manga by Keigo Maki, which began in 2019 and has been collected into 11 volumes as of January 2022. The manga is serialized in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app and published under the KC Deluxe label.

Kodansha Comics describes the story as:

Shikimori seems like the perfect girlfriend: cute, fun to be around, sweet when she wants to be… but she has a cool dark side that comes out under the right circumstances. And her boyfriend Izumi loves to be around when that happens! A fun and funny high school romance with a sassy twist perfect for fans of Nagatoro-san and Komi Can’t Communicate!

The main staff includes Ryouta Itou (Sing “Yesterday” for Me assistant director) as director, Shouhei Yamanaka (Remake Our Life! Ep 1-7 assistant director) as assistant director, Ai Kikuchi (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle) as character designer, and Yoshimi Narita (My Senpai Is Annoying) as series composer. Doga Kobo is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the lead cast members are Saori Oonishi as Shikimori and Shuuichirou Umeda as Izumi.
