Kanasaki maintains his series composer role while Mai Watanabe (Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater animation director) is joining returning staff Yasuyuki Noda, Satomi Kurita, and Yang Lie Jun as a character designer.

Other new staff include Saori Gouda (Akudama Drive) as color designer and Ogiso Nobuhisa (Seton Academy: Join the Pack!) as art director, while other returning staff include Hisashi Yonezawa (KONOSUBA – God’s blessing on this wonderful world! 2) as photography director. Like the first season, Princess Connect Re:Dive Season 2‘s music is handled by Imagine while CygamesPictures is the animation production company.

The cast includes M.A.O as Pecorine, Miku Itou as Kokkoro, Rika Tachibana as Karyl, and Atsushi Abe as Yuuki.

The first season of Princess Connect! Re:Dive ran from April to June 2020, with a teaser trailer for the second season released in August of that year. The anime is based on Cygame’s mobile game of the same name, which is a follow-up to the Princess Connect game that was in service from 2015 to 2016.

Crunchyroll describes the first season as:

In the beautiful land of Astraea where a gentle breeze blows, a young man named Yuuki awakens with no memory of his past. There he encounters a guide who has sworn to care for him—Kokkoro, a lovely swordswoman who’s always feeling peckish—Pecorine, and a cat-eared sorceress with a prickly attitude—Karyl. Led by fate, these four come together to form the “Gourmet Guild.” And so their adventure begins…
