Koukyuu no Karasu Fantasy Light Novels Get Anime Adaptation

An anime adaptation of the Koukyuu no Karasu (roughly The Crow of the Inner Palace) light novel series has been announced.

Written by Kouko Shirakawa and illustrated by Ayuko, the Koukyuu no Karasu books began in 2018 and have six volumes as of August 2021. They are published under the Shueisha Orange Bunko label.

The story involves a concubine known as the Uhi, who dwells within an inner palace. Some say that she has the appearance of an old woman, while others say that she looks like a young woman. The Uhi is also said to have mysterious abilities and accepts requests ranging from inflicting deadly curses to finding lost items. One day, the emperor of the time visits her to make a request, unaware of the consequences of their meeting.
