Yahaba and Susamaru are the next upcoming characters for Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles. The two servants of Muzan will be introduced in the second of three updates that are aimed at adding playable demons to Versus Mode.
In the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba story, Yahaba and Susamaru served as the antagonists of the Asakusa arc. The former makes use of arrows that he can manipulate, while the latter utilizes temari balls as weapons.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles previously added Rui and Akaza in early November.
The Hinokami Chronicles launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 14 in Japan and October 15 worldwide. Aside from the tag team-based Versus Mode, the game has an Adventure Mode that tackles both the events of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series’ first season and Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train.
It was announced on October 27 that the game had shipped over one million units worldwide.
Sega Asia describes the game as:
Become the Demon Slayer, Tanjiro Kamado, to fight off the demons threatening humanity in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human, as well as to avenge the death of his family by hunting down the demon who killed them.
