The upcoming Orient anime has received a new character trailer that previews Tsugumi Hattori. Previous character trailers have focused on protagonists Musashi and Koujiro as well as Naotora Takeda.
Orient is set to premiere in January 2022. The anime is based on the manga by Magi’s Shinobu Ohtaka, which began serialization in 2018 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine. It became serialized in the monthly Bessatsu Shounen Magazine (also by Kodansha) in February 2021. The manga has been collected into 13 volumes as of August.
The anime’s staff includes Tetsuya Yanagisawa (Senran Kagura: Shinovi Master Tokyo Youma-hen, High School DxD) as director, Mariko Kunisawa (Ascendance of a Bookworm) as scriptwriter, Takahiro Kishida (Kageki Shoujo!!) as character designer, and Hideyuki Fukasawa (FATE/GRAND ORDER THE MOVIE Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot Wandering; Agateram.) as music composer. A.C.G.T. is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Yuuma Uchida as Musashi, Souma Saitou as Kōjiro, Rie Takahashi as Tsugumi Hattori, and Satoshi Hino as Naotora Takeda.
