During its Netflix Festival Japan 2021 event, Netflix revealed a new visual, cast, additional staff, and the January 2022 premiere date for Wit Studio’s upcoming original anime Vampire in the Garden. A new visual was also revealed. The anime was previously set to premiere earlier this year but was delayed.
The anime’s main cast includes Megumi Han as Momo and Yu Kobayashi as Fine.
The anime’s new staff members include Satoshi Takabatake (Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-) and Kazushi Fujii (Great Pretender) handling the art setting. Other staff members include Ryoutarou Makihara (Hal, The Empire of Corpses) as director, Hiroyuki Tanaka (Claymore, Hellsing Ultimate) as assistant director, Tetsuya Nishio (The Sky Crawlers) as character designer and chief animation director, and Shunichiro Yoshihara (Attack on Titan, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) as art director. The animation production will be from Wit Studio.
Netflix describes the anime’s story as:
Once upon a time, there was a world where vampires and humans lived together in “Paradise.” This is the story of a young girl, Momo, and the vampire queen, Fine, who traveled in search of “Paradise”.
