The official Twitter account for the upcoming original anime film Goodbye, Don Glees! revealed that the film will premiere on February 18. The premiere date was first announced at talk show event during the Tokyo International Film Festival.
The film’s staff includes Atsuko Ishizuka (A Place Further Than the Universe) as director and scriptwriter, Takahiro Yoshimatsu (A Place Further Than the Universe, Hunter × Hunter) as character designer, Ayano Okamoto (Mieruko-chan) as art director, Harue Ohno (A Place Further Than the Universe) as color designer, Yuuki Kawashita (Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro) as photography director, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa (A Place Further Than the Universe) as music composer. Madhouse is the animation production company.
The cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Rouma Kamogawa, Yuuki Kaji as Hokuto “Toto” Mitarai, and Ayumu Murase as Shizuku “Drop” Sakuma.
Goodbye, Don Glees! marks Ishizuka’s first original film project. The story centers on a boy who arrives in Iceland at the end of an adventure that began during summer vacation.
