Kono Healer Mendokusai Releases 2022, Gets Teaser Trailer

The upcoming Kono Healer Mendokusai isekai comedy anime has received a teaser trailer, which previews the voices of main characters Alvin and Karla and their adventures, and a teaser visual. The anime will release in 2022.

Voicing the characters are Takuya Satō and Aguri Ōnishi respectively; Ōnishi is also performing the opening theme.

Meanwhile, the staff of Kono Healer Mendokusai includes Nobuaki Nakanishi (Koihime Musō) as director, Fumihiko Shimo (Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Chisato Kikunaga (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle co-sub-character designer) as character designer. Jumondou is the animation production company.

Kono Healer Mendokusai is based on the manga by Tannen ni Hakkou. The manga is serialized on Monthly Comic Flapper, Nico Nico Seiga, and ComicWalker and has been compiled into three tankōbon volumes as of April 2021. A fourth volume will be released on October 22.

The story follows Alvin, a swordsman whose retorts are sharper than his sword, who is accompanied by a healer called Karla. Unfortunately for Alvin, Karla’s rudeness makes her a constant source of agitation.

Melvyn originally wanted to write about video games, and he did so for a few years, starting from his college days. He still writes about video games sometimes, but now focuses on anime-related news content and the occasional review. Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive. Every anime season, Melvyn looks forward to discovering new standout episodes and OP/ED animation sequences, as well as learning about the storyboard artists and directors behind them.
