World’s End Harem 2nd Episode Delayed to January 2022

The second episode of World’s End Harem has been delayed to January 2022 due to “scrutiny” over the show’s “presentation.” 

The first episode of the sci-fi ecchi series, which was to premiere on October 8, 2021, will receive a “special advance release” broadcast on TV on its original release date. However, its proper premiere will also take place in January 2022.

World’s End Harem was mean to stream on Crunchyroll and Bilibili as part of the Fall 2021 anime season outside of Japan.

World’s End Harem is based on the manga written by LINK and illustrated by Kotarō Shōno. It began in 2016 and has so far been collected into 13 volumes, with the latest volume being released in October 2021. Additionally, the series has received a second part titled World’s End Harem After World as well as spin-offs like World’s End Harem: FantasiaWorld’s end harem ~Britannia Lumiére~, and World’s End Harem: Fantasia Gakuen.

Penguin Random House describes the manga as:

The Man-Killer Virus: a lethal disease that has eradicated 99.9% of the world’s male population. Mizuhara Reito has been in cryogenic sleep for the past five years, leaving behind Tachibana Erisa, the girl of his dreams. When Reito awakens from the deep freeze, he emerges into a sex-crazed new world where he himself is the planet’s most precious resource. Reito and four other male studs are given lives of luxury and one simple mission: repopulate the world by impregnating as many women as possible! All Reito wants, however, is to find his beloved Erisa who went missing three years ago. Can Reito resist temptation and find his one true love?

World’s End Harem‘s staff includes Yū Nobuta (Maesetsu!Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear) as director, Tatsuya Takahashi (I’ve Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level) as series composer, and Miyabi Ozeki (Kiniro Mosaic: Thank you!! co-chief animation director and co-main prop designer) as character designer.

Other staff include Studio Tulip’s Lin Ge (Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway) as art director, Aiko Matsuyama (D_CIDE TRAUMEREI THE ANIMATION) as color designer, and Chiptune’s Sōta Mikami (I’ve Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level) as photography director. Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ are the animation production studios.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Taichi Ichikawa as Reito Mizuhara, Haruka Shiraishi as Mira Suō, Yō Taichi as Akane Ryūzōji, Aya Yamane as Sui Yamada, Keiko Watanabe as Rea Katagiri, Yurie Kozakai as Maria Kuroda, Yukina Shutō as Mahiru Mizuhara, Takuya Eguchi as Kyūji Hino, Shizuka Ishigami as Neneko Isurugi, Satomi Amano as Rena Kitayama, Kazuki Ura as Shota Dōi, Ayana Taketatsu as Karen Kamiya, Marika Hayase as Yuzuki Hanyū, Haruka Michī as Shunka Hīragi, Arisa Aihara as Natsu Ichijō, Riho Īda as Akira Tōdō, and Natsumi Takamori as Chifuyu Rehn Kuroda.
