New Build Divide Trailer Previews Card Fights, Opening Song

The upcoming BUILD DIVIDE -#000000- CODE BLACK anime has received a new trailer, which previews the show’s card fight battles and the opening song “BANG!!!” by EGOIST. 

The anime is set to premiere in Japan on October 9. It will also stream on Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Ani-One Asia. A second season will premiere in April 2022.

BUILD DIVIDE is part of a mixed-media project that includes a trading card game. The show is set in Neo Kyoto, where one’s ability in the TCG “Build Divide” determines their merits. It is said that those who defeat the city’s King can have any desire fulfilled. The story follows Teruto, a boy who wishes to defeat the King for a certain reason. Guiding Teruto is Sakura, a mysterious girl.

The anime’s staff includes Yuki Komada (Blade of the Immortal assistant director) as the director, Yoriko Tomita (Osamake: Romcom Where The Childhood Friend Won’t Lose) as the series composer, Shinpei Tomooka (Pompo: The Cinéphile sub-character designer, Trinity Seven: Heavens Library & Crimson Lord) as the character designer, and Keiji Inai (I’ve Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level) and Kenta Higashiohji (Princess Connect! Re: Dive co-music composer) as the music composers.

Homura Kawamoto (Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler manga) and Hikaru Muno (Kakegurui Trip light novel) are the original creators, while LIDEN FILMS is the animation production studio. 

Meanwhile, the cast includes Yūto Uemura as Teruto Kurabe, Sayumi Watabe as Sakura Banka, Aoi Koga as Hiyori Munenashi, Yū Serizawa as Kikka, and Atsushi Tamaru as Naomitsu Enjō.
